Please be welcomed to the seminar on autonomous vehicles. In this seminar, we will review some topics related to autonomous vehicle Autominy. A big picture of the topics to be covered is:
(1) General description of the autonomous vehicle Autominy. Here, we describe the vehicle's main features and the main parts of it, i.e., hardware and software components.
(2) We will focus on the description of the operative system (Ubuntu) and the Robotic Operative System (ROS). A report about the installation of this software is included. Also, we have some details about how to install the package required for controlling the Autominy vehicle.
(3) Numerical simulations and experiments. This part consists of a general overview of the software simulating the autonomous vehicle through the Gazebo tool.
(4) Creation of nodes. As a final step, we include a procedure for creating a publisher node, which controls the autonomous vehicle in both simulation and experiments.
Several videos aid the student in understanding the topics covered in this seminar.
Enjoy the fascinating world of autonomous vehicles, and let's put your hands on the real Autominy car!
